Summary
Law has learned that a half-assed fight will always leave Zoro frustrated.
She thinks it’s because the swordswoman throws herself into every fight as if it’s the fight, the one that makes or breaks her dream – so the aftermath of one that doesn’t actually test her leaves her hungry. Maybe it’s all that anticipation and energy that swirls up and draws taut in her that leaves her needing some kind of release for it all, or maybe she lives in a state of perpetual frustration over being underestimated. At least, that’s what Law thinks, not that she spends all that much time thinking about it. It’s a bit hard to think, all things considered, when Zoro is on her, because Law has found herself the primary receptacle for all of that frustration in recent times – mostly because she can handle the violence, and she’s always willing.

Shachi is snickering, too, head tipped to the side against Penguin’s chest, hair still wet from a shower and half-hiding his face, and Penguin snorts into saying, “I mean, y'know, live fast, eat ass, all that shit.”
Law – who is kind of stoned, because thank fuck he's found a better coping mechanism in recent years than plotting suicide missions – snorts hard enough his face scrunches up at that comment, like it used to when they were kids and like he only started doing again recently. “Penguin, you've – you've literally only been bisexual for a month, don't start with that ‘live fast, eat ass’ bullshit if you can't cash that check.”
Penguin’s head tilts back, and Shachi snorts against his skin before he speaks. “Hey, hey, it's not bullshit, I totally would. I just haven't yet. Limited by experience and time, not willingness.” Which… is, hmm.
Shachi thinks on that for a second.

“I don't know how to word it, alright?” Now that's a little more interesting. Especially combined with what Law is pretty sure is a flush in his cheeks. Sanji takes a deep breath, makes a face like he's in pain, and speaks haltingly. “How did you –” his eyes close, frustrated, “– how did you figure out – that you were… attracted to men?”
Ah.
Quite suddenly, Law wishes he hadn't asked.

it's not an understatement for me to say this fic has potentially changed my life outlook. i'm in a depression and i feel like i keep living the same day over and over and this definitely made me realize it. i lose my motivation to change things every morning. but. beautiful, gorgeous writing, and it makes me want to do something different, so i think i will. thank you for writing this, it's breathtaking, and my god, a fic this good has never made me want to clean my damn room with this much fervor.
