Summary
The weight of the world is on Obi-Wan's shoulders: the galaxy seems to be on the brink of war, he sees the Jedi Council far more times in a week than he would like, and his master, Anakin Skywalker, is the greatest Jedi of all time while lacking any sort of tact or politeness. Obi-Wan has to pick up all the pieces time and time again, and his friends have noticed that it has started to wear on him.
All will be well, though—they have a suggestion to get Obi-Wan to release some of that tension.

Summary
Acting as Anakin Skywalker's confidante is probably the most painful aspect of pretending to be kind and sympathetic Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine. It seems that every other week, Skywalker is in love with another paramour who will leave him heartbroken within months. And as Skywalker's mentor and father figure, it is Darth Sidious' job to pick up those pieces and lend a compassionate ear to Skywalker's suffering. Every. Single. Time.
It's only after several years of this routine that Sidious realizes that he can solve two of his problems in one fell swoop: if he can convince Skywalker that he is in love with his old Jedi master, Kenobi, then Skywalker will inevitably have his heart broken by the man when their relationship fizzles into nothing. Then his strongest tether to the Light will be severed, and Sidious can claim Skywalker as his apprentice.
Because surely Skywalker's feelings for Kenobi are not returned. Surely Kenobi has more sense than to be enamored beyond reason with his former padawan. Surely all Sidious has to do is push Skywalker in Kenobi's direction and then watch the fallout.
Surely. Surely?

“It’s definitely not—” Anakin splutters, setting his glass down more roughly than he intended.
Ahsoka looks up from the comm unit in her lap, mouth curled up in a smirk wide enough to show off her fangs. “If anything,” she says, “Obi-Wan would be the groomer, considering he raised Skygu—”
“Stop it, shut up, Snips, you’re not doing that on my wedding day—”
“Your wedding day isn’t until tomorrow,” his wayward and frankly disowned and uninvited former padawan points out. And she's right. His wedding day is tomorrow. He’s getting married tomorrow.
To Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Summary
The Republic deals the Separatists a crushing blow when they break a strategically important blockade.
A few hours later, Obi-Wan Kenobi deals Anakin Skywalker an equally crushing blow when he tells their men, in the midst of drunken revelry, that fine. He prefers blondes. But he never sleeps with people younger than him.
Anakin is halfway stuck between brunet and blond, in love with his master, and sixteen years his master's junior. None of these things can be changed, not without divine intervention.
The divine decides to intervene.
