Summary
John walked through the crowded school yard, head down, one hand tightly wrapped around the shoulder strap of his backpack. The cacophony of bodies and noise pressed in on him, the typical state of students at break time, rowdy, clamoring and far too numerous.
He wouldn't have stopped usually, have kept pressing through until he got to the doors of the library and inside, where it was finally, thankfully quiet and he could breathe. But something caught his eye, an aberration in the pattern of swirling students and harried staff members.-- Or John is also a protective big brother when he needs to be.

Virgil leaned closer to his comm, giving John a prime view of dark, angular done-with-this-shit eyebrows.
John definitely didn’t panic. He just didn’t want the totally needless scrutiny of a medic brother all up in his business. Or asking questions like, ‘What did you do to yourself this time?’
“What limp?” he replied.--John is hiding (he's not hiding it, technically he's currently attempting to be selective about the truth) an injury (because he lost his stupid temper) from Virgil (he knows how bad that sounds) but its not just that (because he's Completely Fine), and a few other things get sorted out along the way.
And he gets a hug. Several hugs (which he totally didn't need because as above he's Fine up in space and no you don't need to ask when was the last time he came down to earth for a break).Bookmarked by imafakebetch

One night, Scott is having a hard time sleeping and so he decides to call up his brother in space. But tensions start to run high and one of the brothers will have an important decision to make. Brotherfic oneshot.
