    Summary

Post S1, 'things' are not progressing between himself and Aziraphale in the ways that Crowley had hoped they would. Instead, it's worse and, not only does Aziraphale show no inclination to deepen their relationship at all, but he actually looks as though he is ready to ditch Crowley for good.

As insurance against being left friendless and alone, Anathema advises Crowley to join an online friendship site. I am sure that no one needs me to tell them that things do not go quite the way that Crowley had thought they were going to...

Updates on a Sunday. Hopefully weekly, but be prepared for fortnightly :)

“Aziraphale, they want to kill you!”

“Oh good.” Aziraphale turned to look over the horizon Gabriel and Sandalphon had been thrown beyond. “It’s always nice to be on the same page.”

“Listen. Fell. I...I might, uh, have an idea.”
“You do?” Aziraphale said, and hated the hopeful way he said it. “I’ll do it.”
    “You...won’t like it.”
“Will it keep me out of prison?”
“Maybe. Maybe the both of us. For now. Ideally.”
    “Then yes.”
Crowley’s expression tightened, and Aziraphale wasn’t sure if Crowley wanted to cry, or laugh. “You really, really won’t like it.”
“I’ll like prison less.” He responded plainly.
Crowley’s face twisted into something soft at first, just for a second, before searing into a careful little smirk, and Aziraphale knew that smile, that Cheshire cat smile, much too well to not be cautious.
“Crowley, dear. What are you doing on the floor?”
He cleared his throat. “Angel. Remember when I said you wouldn’t like it? Well, uh, here we are.” His smile grew awkwardly, apologetically, and Aziraphale had a sinking feeling about it.
    “Angel. Will you marry me?”

    Summary

His heartbeat was pounding so loudly in his chest, he was sure that they could all hear it; that even God Herself, all the way up in Heaven, was privy to the sound of his grief. But somehow, over the noise, he managed to croak out in a voice that edged on devastated: "Quite. It's . . . well, it is a — a pleasure to see you again, Crowley."

"I would say the sssame, but m'afraid I can't," Crowley responded coolly, and Aziraphale felt as if all the breath had been knocked from his lungs in one fell swoop at hearing the devastating sound of the demon's voice.

He sounded — he sounded —

    He sounded wrong.

Supreme Archangel Aziraphale had expected that he would never see Crowley again, or at least, not anytime soon; especially not with the other side, who the demon had always seemed to hate.
So then why is he standing at the head of Hell's demons, wearing the title of their Duke . . . with Lucifer's sigil hanging on a chain around his neck?

    Summary

“Crowley? Where are you?” he tried again as he opened the door all the way.

His foot nudged something on the floor as he entered the room and Aziraphale looked down. What he saw befuddled him. It looked a lot like a slightly melted version of his friend’s black leather jacket. It was wet and in some sort of puddle.

    Why would-?

    Oh, God.

    The smell.

The angel’s chest hitched, his breath becoming ragged as his eyes began darting around the room. There was an overturned bucket just a few feet away. As he went to investigate, something else caught his attention in the corner of his eye.

There, on a table nearby, lay a thermos with a tartan pattern on it.

~In which, instead of getting discorporated via the summoning circle, a determined Aziraphale rushes to his demon's aid, to only then be brought to his knees by what he finds.
