Summary
Ivan, at age nine, felt that he wasn’t very human, burdened with the incapacity to express himself to the people that mattered, unable to show true compassion or kindness amidst the violence in district twelve. But at twenty-two, he finds that he is capable of stripping himself bare, serving his own flesh, and blood, and bones on a silver platter in an act of undying love.
