    Summary

“As in, there is one future where the White Walkers are defeated immediately, the Long Night is merely a passing shadow and we are spared most of the senseless deaths that came upon Westeros since Ned Stark died. But it’s not a future I can try to turn into a reality,” Bran says with a long sigh.

“What – what do you mean?” Lord Connington doesn’t sound too convinced, but he’s listening intently, or so it seems from the frown on his face.

“That in order for us all to live, Aerys Targaryen must die not sooner and not later than he did, but Rhaegar must live,” Bran says tiredly, “along with Elia Martell and her children. Whether Lyanna Stark does or not is irrelevant, as long as all three children live and know they are the heads of the dragon. It’s no job for someone like me – I can only walk if I visit the past or the future, not if I want to live in it. How useless it is that one has such powers but then cannot even walk, isn’t it?”

“You – you mean to – send us to the past?” Brienne asks, barely audible.

    Summary

“I’m not sharing my room,” Sam mutters, knowing as he says it that it sounds exactly like he’s a fucking ten year old facing a new sibling. Steve hastily makes what Sam thinks is supposed to be an understanding face.

“Of course not,” he says soothingly. “He can bunk in with me, it’s not like we haven’t done it before. It's a twin room, anyway, there's already a spare bed.”

Sam guesses a bigger house is out of the question. Whatever; the three of them have spent eight hours crammed in a Mini, it can’t be that bad.

It’s not that bad. It’s worse.

    Summary

aka the adventures of Han Solo, a gravedigger without a grave to dig and an optimistic guide to death.

Sam Wilson is dealing with his untreated trauma by isolating himself in the middle of nowhere.
"It doesn’t matter that his therapist hadn’t actually advised him to become a hermit. Or that she had actually said that distancing himself from the world only meant he was running away.

Now he’s stuck with no reception and no internet in the New England countryside, which is basically Canada but with less moose and more witch hunting. And probably more fucking birds too."

It all changes when a hiker arrives, weary, handsome and in search of an unmarked grave.

[This story is unfinished. However chapter 5 summarises my original intent for the ending, hopefully giving the story closure.]
