I normally don't read WIP's, especially ones that are over 350k and counting but this fic was recommended by a friend so I figured I'd give it a go and 87 chapters later I am OBSESSED. It's time traveling Buffy shown through everyone else's POV and it's so good. It delves deep into relationships - whether they are romantic, platonic, family or friendship while also expanding and fixing everything I personally love and/or hated about this series. It's very truthful to canon but also the author puts her own spin on things which gets better and better as the story, and buffy&co., goes on.
Try not to be too overwhelmed by the work count. It's worth the lost sleep. I promise.

She’s pushing the sticky, fragrant rice of her risotto around her plate and trying not to think too hard about the prospect of socializing with strangers when he materializes into the armchair beside her. The sudden and graceful materializing is on its own impressive, considering most of the residents of this place have had hip replacements.
“Oh – hello,” Juliet says, mostly just to be polite.
“Hi!” says the man. “You’re in my seat.”
Juliet freezes with one spoonful of risotto finally halfway up to her mouth. She narrows her eyes at him from behind her bifocals.
“Excuse me?”

Post Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing. Shawn is hurt worse than anyone realizes. It like an episode of the show - everyone was in perfectly in character while Shawn was being, well perfectly Shawn. Gus's voice was so good and his interactions/worry about Shawn almost made me cry more than once.
