Summary
Clarissa knows the crew hated having the documentary crew on board the Roci., but she can’t help but be grateful that it exists.
She was desperate for these tiny scraps of information about her sister, even though it hurt every time she watched it.

Summary
The real problem, in Victoire's mind, was not that Hui had died (of course the problem was that Hui had died. Hui, and Lambert, and Fisher). No, the real problem was that Hui had died in the exact same way as Lambert. An illness, respiratory, blood in the saliva, struggling to breathe. Exactly the same.

Aethelflaed had found herself thinking on how the son of Alfred expected to respect and protect her daughter has betrothed her without so much as Aethelflaed’s knowledge, much less blessing, while the son of Alfred least cared for or respected was prepared to fight to defend her daughter from an unwanted marriage.

This Penny isn’t the Penny of her timeline. This Penny looks at her all the time with those soft and affectionate looks of his, and believes in her, and it all makes her a little bit twitchy.

Veronica Mars was a closed door now, closed and locked tight without any keys to get in and no sliver of light shining out, and Logan had never been able to resist trying to peek behind closed doors.

Summary
A young woman is standing in the middle of the pergola, softly illuminated, looking like a spring bloom amidst the dull browns and grays. Taryn Duarte: husband-slayer, betrayer of the crown, and the only mortal who's ever wielded his true name.
He has made a careful habit of watching her from afar. It's common sense to keep his eyes on a potential threat.
____
a slow-burn taryn/ghost fic that takes place over the course of several years. lots of introspective character work for both of them, but there are other tfota characters here as well <3

Summary
To call it a conversation probably is technically correct, but it's probably correct mostly on that technicality. Most onlookers would likely favor a different descriptor—lecture, perhaps, or monologue, with occasional interjections. Perhaps an onlooker with a particularly keen or nasty sense of humor might even arrive at the term shovel talk, although that’s really not quite accurate. If anything, it’s a sort of inverted shovel talk, one in which the mother seems to be expending quite a deal of effort attempting to convince the third party that said third party’s time and effort is, quite frankly, better spent on almost anything other than looking to the well-being of her son—
“Archivist,” Camilla Hect interjects. “The ceremony is tomorrow.”
The night before Camilla officially becomes Palamedes’ cavalier, she and the Archivist have a discussion. It doesn’t go the way the Archivist was hoping.

Summary
Once Upon a Time, there was a girl from very far away and a boy that lived every which way at once.
As is such of many stories with similar hooks, they found each other, fell in love, and spent their lives together planting the seeds for more Happily-Ever-Beginnings.
But this isn’t about them, not entirely.

Summary
The bag kept jostling, and there were more faint noises. But eventually – faster than he had time to really process what was happening, victim of fortune in a sack that he was – the bag was being supported from below by something irregular, and then he was rather gently tipped out from it, the bag sliding away until he’d lost all contact. The new surface was flat, and he was sprawled out on it as a tangled, ungainly knot of bones that did not quite know where it was.
And then there was a sound. Slightly fuzzy – blurry, maybe, with a strange timbre like he was the string in a child’s sound-wave experiment cup-and-string.
“Warden?” It sounded like home.

Palamedes Sextus is just a little bit stuck, not having a body that can talk. There's a lot that needs to be said before they can rest.
