Somehow, despite all the odds against him, he managed to raise this kid up big and healthy. Except… Sam isn’t there. Dean scans the nearby area, but his little brother is nowhere to be found.
“Sammy?” Dean calls, walking a few steps in either direction. The mall is fucking packed, but Dean can’t see Sam or that stupid bag. The pop music pumping through the overhead speakers that had only been annoying before is now deafening, and Dean can’t hear himself think.
Sam’s gone.
Or: Teenage Dean loses Sam in a mall. He does not take it well.
