It wrapped its hand around her wrist and held tight, but not enough to bruise. It pulled her arm out and examined the runes that had been burned into her forearms. 'They tortured you and burned useless sigils into your innocent flesh, yet they could not summon the courage to speak to me themselves. The demon looked away from her burns and scowled. Do you not want revenge? Do you not seek their hearts in your hands? Do you not want to burn their flesh as they've burnt yours?'
Aleci didn't pull away from the demon, because she was not stupid, but she wanted to. She wanted to run. She wanted to hide. She averted her eyes. "Yes," She admitted. "I want all of those things." The hand around her wrist tightened with... delight, perhaps? Aleci gritted her teeth. "But I don't make deals with demons."
