Izuku Midorya is a hero worshiper. He's always wanted to be one and hoped his Quirk would be as cool as All Might's. So when it's revealed that he's Quirkless, he's crushed. It doesn't help that his best friend, Katsuki Bakugo, starts to treat him like shit when he finds out, the teachers and other students joining in. The abuse goes on for years, and one day, when it feels like Izuku can't take it anymore, a teacher says something that one should never say to a ten-year-old
"You're just a bother. Why not save your mother the trouble and kill yourself? She's a young woman, she can make a child that isn't a Quirkless failure."
Now Izuku is determined to become a hero, everyone's remarks be damned. Even if that means letting years of anger burst out. Even if that means he has to break his bones, his mind, and whoever stands in his way.
