Adam dies, goes to hell, and promptly gets the shit beat out of him. Looking to save his own hide and sanity, he makes a deal with Lucifer so that he can receive protection. His end of the deal is earnestly giving redemption a shot at Charlie's hotel!

Summary
If Lucifer is being honest with himself, his short time so far at the Hazbin Hotel... has been the happiest he’s been in years. He’s close to his daughter, yes. He also gets on reasonably well with Charlie’s chums (ignoring pushy hotel ‘hosts’ with stupid haircuts).
But another big part of that has been waiting for Adam to show up. It’s been... sort of a project of his own, Lucifer supposes. A bit of interest around here. Something meaningful to do, that’s not pushing paper around as the King of Hell.
6. I want to save him? Lucifer writes, managing the dot beneath the question mark just as the sound of screaming reaches his ear from the open window...
