“Exactly. No charm, no foul. No real magic was casted from that.”
“I guess I’m still getting used to my own magic,” Lexi says as she examines the palms of her hands like she is waiting for sparks to shoot out, and then in unison they repeat, “Never mix tequila and magic.” They break out into abashed laughter, and Lexi sets the candle back on Cassie’s desk.
“Do you feel any better?" Cassie asks. “Fake hex your ex right out of your life?”
