Summary
The thing about getting what you want sometimes is that once you have it, you’re not really sure what you’re going to do with it. Viktor has been chasing the high of Jayce’s attention, his affection, for the better part of four years now, and this pushes them toward the brink of something monumental that could make or break their future. Their partnership. Their…whatever this is. There’s the work, and then there’s them. Hextech, and Jayce-and-Viktor. Viktor-and-Jayce. They’re a package deal that’s teetering on the edge of something else entirely. Viktor has been jumping toward that edge, but for some reason, that kiss makes him feel like his landing place has disappeared mid-leap.

Jayce sounds endearing.

Under normal circumstances, Jinx would help him unfasten the laces holding the corset together. Viktor knows what awaits there on his skin by now, under his silky dress shirt, imprinted into his skin. Jinx would tell him he is ridiculous for not taking proper care of himself and he would tell her she doesn’t need to help him, then.
But Jinx is not here. There is only his own discomfort and Jayce’s beguiling willingness to help.
“So? What are you waiting for?”
