On ordinary days, weeks, months, years, there is very little news to go around Keramzin. The orphanage up on the wind-swept hill and the children slowly growing up within its walls keep to themselves, for the most part: the towners ignore the children, or offer a few more coins to keep the orphanage’s coffers full. For the most part, Keramzin is quiet, with little trouble and no rackets to disturb the peaceful sleepiness of the town.
Out-of-towners, however, always means at least a little piece of trouble. And when said out-of-towners are renting a manor near the town, wealthy people, with the glitz of the city still clinging to them… Well, then, the uproar in Keramzin was quite a sight to see.
