Guy comes in once, compliments his hair, starts infodumping about transformers, and then comes to Shinsou's coffee shop every week for the next two years. Who the hell does that? He's like a puppy, always following around this random purple-haired barista that he barely knows.

“Peter, is it supposed to be doing that?” One of his students asked him. He looked up to see the industrial-strength magnets he’d collected for this lab trying to crack through the glass between them to be reunited. The glass splintered.
“Yeah, no. That’s totally fine,” he lied. Then he inconspicuously chased everyone to the corner of the lab, donned a glove, and smashed the glass so that it wouldn’t splinter and stab someone in the eye in its explosion.
His students cheered.
He needed a drink.
(Peter gets called back to the city at the age of 25 to help mitigate the rapidly increasing crime rate. He's in way over his head, so he sets out to re-establish Team Red.)

Summary
Lance has always dreamed of the Big One: the Dive that would send him skyrocketing to fame as the first deep-sea operator in history to make it to the deepest, darkest part of the world's oceans. The Derceto mission was going to be his big break.
All they had to do was go down, collect a few samples, then make it back in one piece. Oh, and investigate the mysterious circumstances surrounding the Kerberos mission disaster that claimed the lives of the previous crew after their base went dark. No big deal, right? They'd return home as heroes.
As it turns out, they couldn't have been more wrong.
