Summary
Friends since they could remember clearly, Ezreal, Kayn, and his sister Akali carried a mixture of not-so-harmonious colors. Ezreal held in his heart that hopeful green that blossomed alongside plants in spring, in contrast to Kayn's deeply melancholic blue.
Separated shortly after turning twelve, a month before the first Christmas Ezreal would spend alone with his stuffed animals, the story follows happy childhood memories, overshadowed by the passing of time. The summers spent running barefoot on hot asphalt and licking the melting ice cream between their sticky fingers would become only distant and fond memories, intensified by the pain of when Zed would have stolen his wife's car, taking the children with him as far away as possible.Or:

It's not the first time they've fooled around – and it won't be the last if he has anything to say about it – but it is the farthest they've gotten in Ezreal's room. They've christened the couches, the studio, the kitchen counters, even the back porch... not to mention just about every surface and wall in Kayn's room.
But not the pastel wonderland that his bubblegum popstar spends his days in.
It doesn't occur to him until he's basking in the afterglow and post-nut clarity to wonder why, and by that point watching the snoring brat on his shoulder seems much more compelling.

what can i even say about this fic my god... before this, i had cried at 3 fics in my like... idk 10~ years of reading fics? yeah, this made it 4. or, technically 6, because i cried 3 separate times. this is truly so beautifully written. the characters and emotions all feel so deep and real and my GOD please just read this if you like settphel. it's heartbreaking but so so so worth it for the ending.
