Summary
Regulus’ tongue is a pink flash as it darts out. Carefully, he dips it inside the barrel.
James’ hands are shaking. His gaze is heated, trained resolutely on Regulus’ mouth, the spit dribbling out around it, the crimson staining his cheeks. He watches Regulus’ damp lashes flutter softly, as tears prick at the edges of his eyes.
James does not shoot. He does not press the trigger. He just watches Regulus, as he puts on a show- just for him.
OR: James is an assassin, sent to kill Crown prince Regulus Black. Things don’t go as planned, and they fuck instead.
It only gets worse from there.

Sirius' eyes met the Serpent’s, and all the air left his body. It was as if looking straight into the heart of a thunderstorm, grey waves crashing against black rocks. Summary
Steve is dying, but what hurts the most is watching how it's affecting his family, his friends, everyone around him.
Nothing seems to be helping - not his community rallying around him, not magic itself, and not the devoted attention of Eddie Munson. Eddie is a rock and a hurricane in Steve's life. Steve might also be a little bit in love with him.
Then, one day when all other options run out, Eddie introduces him to one Billy Hargrove, and Steve's already-screwed-up life might be taking a turn.
But is it for the better or for the more dangerous?

Summary
It's been almost four months since Starcourt and Steve doesn’t know which is weirder—that Billy Hargrove is now living with him, or that they might actually be friends. Trauma buddies, as Max had snidely put it.
It's not far from the truth. His nights are a little less lonely, full of shared exhaustion and murmured conversations to chase away the shadows that neither of them can seem to shake, Billy hiding in his oversized hoodies while Steve tries to hide that he’s looking. That he's always looking. It’s not nice, the whole situation too fucked up for nice, but it’s something new, something fragile, something hopeful, something Steve wants to hold close to his heart and protect. Because Billy’s alive and he’s here, and Steve’s never been one to throw away second chances.
And Billy is just trying to keep his promise to Max. Trying to fight against the bone-deep knowledge that he shouldn't be here, shouldn't be alive when so many are gone. Trying to make the most of his life after death. Trying to keep from kissing the stupidly dorky smile right off of Steve's stupidly pretty face.
