Maybe sneaking into a college at night wasn't the best idea. Maybe sneaking into a college at night to prove to his annoying younger brother he had a cool job was an even worse idea.
But who had ever accused Wilbur Soot of having good ideas?
Besides, things were fine! No one got hurt, besides for a some weird, shiny liquid he accidentally spilled on himself. But he didn't feel weird, so it must have been an unfinished prototype, or something
Or
In which it was not, in fact, an unfinished prototype, and Wilbur wakes up the next day and finds out he is no longer just a standard human. And unfortunately for him, this isn't a superhero movie.

(Or, in which Wilbur is dead but refuses to be silenced, Tommy and Tubbo haven't been heard from in weeks, Ranboo's found himself in the midst of something he doesn't understand, and there always seems to be at least one more secret.
The dead don't always rest easy. And that's not where the problem ends.)

The world stopped.

After their father mysteriously dropped off the face of the earth, Wilbur and Thomas ('it's Tommy!') Watson were thrust into the foster system. They were promptly separated when Tommy was fostered by a newly married couple, while Wilbur was not. Six years later, Tommy runs away to where his brother, now listed as Wilbur Soot, works a grimy nine-to-five job and tries to forget the life he lost.
