“How did this happen?” Viktor enquired.
Jayce dreaded this, hated confessing to what he’d done. What if Viktor thought he was wrong? Or stupid or a terrible person or useless or— “I went to the Undercity. With Vi. We tried to shut down a shimmer production factory.”
Viktor didn’t even look up. “That was stupid,” he mused quietly.
