Summary
“I think I’m losing my mind,” was what Eddie opened with during his next session. Frank raised an eyebrow.
“Oh?” He uncapped his pen. “What do you think’s making you feel that way?”
“Buck changed the batteries in my smoke detector. I cried when he left.”
Silence. For a moment
“Oh. Because he left or?” Frank looked at him.
“The batteries, I think.”
“Right. Okay.” Frank nodded, jotting something down on his notepad.
Eddie makes the most of his summer. More or less.

Summary
“I mean,” Eddie said, shrugging. “You did the whole celebrity party scene, right? You’d be familiar with where to, I mean, you know.” Richie didn't know, but he had a good guess.
“What?” he asked. “I mean, yeah, man, I’ve been to parties, but not like—I did coke, like, twice. In 2003. I’m a standup, not a founding member of the Pussy Posse.”
“I know that—”
“Believe it or not, I don’t have Leo’s number. I could maybe get ahold of Harmony Korine, but that’d be a big ask.”Eighteen months after Clown Murder Take 2, Richie and Eddie find themselves in different flavors of the same problem. They've both made some big life changes in the last year, but it feels like there's something missing. The only viable solution, obviously, is to try and kickstart their midlife crises together.

Summary
You wouldn’t think that there’s a lot of time for inner reflection when you’re bleeding out, but there is. In fact, there’s little else to do after you’ve given up on holding your own insides inside but tell yourself that if you live, you’ll actually live this time and that the echoed chanting of “clown, clown, clown, clown” had better not be the last thing you ever hear.
After narrowly avoiding death, Eddie learns that the hardest promises to keep are the ones you make to yourself. An un-tragedy in three acts.

“Just go stir the fudge so it doesn’t stick and burn to the bottom of the pot. I’m gonna go grab some bandaids. Don’t—and I know this is gonna be hard for you—don’t hurt yourself while I’m gone or you’re losing your cooking privileges."
“Not a punishment, Eds,” Richie called after him as Eddie scurried to the half bath down the hall. “I’d love to be your studio audience.”
Eddie returned to the kitchen and grabbed the molten-sugar-coated spoon that Richie had been gesturing with and set it down. He kept ahold of Richie’s hand to carefully place a couple of the antibacterial bandaids that Eddie got all horned up about.
“Be my Alton Brown,” Richie said, looking down at Eddie as he secured the bandages. “My Rachel Ray. My very own, uh, lady from Semi-Homemade.”

Summary
Mike's call came completely out of fucking nowhere, because:
1. Richie didn’t even realize it had been twenty-five years since he left high school, when did he get so goddamn old and
2. He’d assumed that everyone lost touch with each other as much as he had.Like, did everyone just decide to drop everything and run off back home to Cha Cha Slide around a high school gym for an evening? Who even does that?
Richie considers what his schedule looks like (busy, he’s got a tour to kick off) and how his last few months have been (busy, he had a script to rehearse into sounding convincing for said tour kick-off) and says:“Yeah, sure, man, I’ll be there.”

Summary
The day you get the most important email of your life, there’s a new black skidmark on the wall of the stairwell, and you know exactly whose fault it is.
“Margaret,” you intone to the harried, wild-haired woman in the lobby.
She sighs at you as she tries to jimmy her mail key loose. “I know.”
It wouldn’t even be that bad if the kid would just skateboard outside. Or get good at skateboarding. Either of those things. Maggie’s a nice lady, though, and she’s had “trying my best” scribbled all over her since they moved into 6B maybe eight years ago. So you try not to be a dick, even if her son is a gold-standard pain in the ass. He’s good for three things: smells, noise, and reminding you how big Eddie must be by now.Bookmarked by goodmourningdove

Summary
Dean is about to respond when the locust Sam is prodding decides not to go quietly into the jar, but instead to fling itself across the room. It lands squarely on Dean's lapel, antenna twitching. The locust rubs its forelegs together meditatively and readies itself to pounce again. Dean flinches and quickly bats it away. He and Sam would argue for the rest of the week whether or not he also jumped a foot in the air and "screamed like a choir boy soprano."
Or: How Dean and Sam got the bugs into the jar in between scenes in S6E3.

“But you know something? If I couldn’t get you laid, at least I gave you a good first date.”
feat: footsies at a Ruby Tuesday, stargazing, the recreation of an iconic "Dirty Dancing" scene (no, not that one—the other one), and practicing for When You're With A Girl.
