Summary

“Astarion, please—” Tav gasped breathlessly.
And then his eyes rolled back in his head, and he collapsed.
Tav wakes Astarion up in the middle of the night with a dire warning— Astarion will die, if he doesn’t kill Tav first.
Astarion makes a different choice.

Summary
Tharatos is slipping. His dreams of a future with Astarion are being buried beneath thoughts of indescribable violence; the dreams of his friends at his feet, their blood on his tongue. The nausea, the headaches, all of it comes rushing back as if he were back on the Nautaloid, a slave to his own mind. And yet, shame stills his tongue; he can't bring himself to admit that just maybe, he might need help.
In aftermath of Cazador, Astarion comes into his own. Tharatos, however, comes apart. Somehow, it never occurs to him there could be a reason. beside his parentage.
Or, the Dark Urge becomes a dhampir. It changes everything and nothing.

Summary

After Gortash tells the party who the Dark Urge truly is, the Dark Urge leaves the party in the middle of the night.
That doesn't mean they abandon the promises they made their friends.
Or the Dark Urge goes on a one sorcerer mission to right their wrongs and save their friends from the shadows. Its goes both better and worse than expected.

“Don’t become his,” Astarion implored, his soft red eyes so pained. Kieran tried to answer, tried to play out the memory, but the sun was setting right into his eyes, distracting him, its orange fire so ferocious– and the shadows forming in its absence were all the more hungry for it.

“You’re so strong out there, but here, with me… You can be the needy creature you are,” Astarion purred.
~Kieran faces his worst fears in the Temple, defeating Orin only to confront the God of Murder himself. Darkness sinks its hooks into him. Through memories of Astarion's love and support, he resists his Urge, but not without paying a price. Later, Astarion takes care of the wounded warrior, giving him both punishment and reward, and they affirm their love for each other.
