Ningguang and Beidou have a relationship that can only be explained as...complicated.
Ever since their move to Liyue Harbour together, when they swore that they would always be there to celebrate each other's successes, they had steadily been growing further and further apart until the gap seemed too wide to even attempt to bridge. Isolating themselves from each other seemed to be an option, until Ningguang and Beidou were pushed together by their colleagues and friends.

“You’ve made quite a name for yourself,” Ningguang intoned, there was a lift to her words, as if she was asking a question. Small, muffled laughs were heard around them.
“You could say that we’ve both made names for ourselves. In different ways of course.” Beidou considered her options. Maybe it wasn’t wise to make an enemy of the Tianquan.
Oh, to hell with it all. They could have their pretences, but for what did she care? She would just show them what had quelled Haishan. “Especially on some of the less legal markets. Am I right, oh mighty Tianquan?” Her voice dripped with scorn. -
