Summary

In this universe, the Wens reach the cave before Jiang Cheng
To save Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji surrenders himself to the Wens in the cave. As time goes on in his capture, he makes many terrible sacrifices to foil the Wen sects plans at conquering the cultivation world, ultimately losing his golden core in the process and getting thrown into the burial mounds
Meanwhile, Wei Wuxian is desperate to find and save Lan Wangji. Left with the echoes of a song and his own complicated feelings, Wei Wuxian only knows that he cannot rest until he gets his zhiji back
Except, the Lan Wangji that comes back is not the one he knew
Thirteen years later, Lan Wangji is resurrected into the body of Mo Xaunyu. This time he might just get a chance at love and maybe even save everyone in the process
