Staggering out of the cave, Finn feels something inside him, something dark and heavy and evil trying to drag him under the waters of conscious thought. He fights it, resists, but it pushes and pulls and claws at his mind until his head feels ready to burst. He can barely stand upright but stumbles into the sunlight, crying out in pain, shouting for help— for Poe, for Rey, for anyone.

Poe hasn’t been a devout Catholic for many years, and he lost his belief in the Christmas miracle before the last of his baby teeth, but he feels a sudden urge to praise the lord.
Because there is Finn, inexplicably standing on his doorstep at half past ten on the night before Christmas.
"I thought you were in London," is the first thing Poe says, breathlessly.
There is snow melting in Finn's hair and on his scarf, on the broad shoulders of his puffer jacket.
