Summary
Viktor feels himself nearing the precipice of something unknown, this zenith of pleasure that he had never reached. It was as if he was clawing his way up to an apex of satisfaction, and he had always chased this high. He had never come so close though, and Jayce was about to be his breakthrough.
Viktor concluded that he no longer craved a breakthrough in his research. Instead, he craved this breakthrough in immense pleasure. He craved the sweet release that Jayce would bring him, pushing him over the edge of no return.
And Gods, he wants so badly to fall over that edge. Oh, how he wanted to get lost in this feeling.

A whisper of movement, and Jayce has barely turned his head before he feels it.
Catastrophic. Earth shattering.
A dull weight has settled into his side, a mess of chestnut locks spilling across Jayce’s shoulder, tickling his neck and chin. Jayce does his best to avoid moving too suddenly, afraid to frighten Viktor off- but when he peers around Viktor’s face, he finds the other to be fast asleep, his eyes gently closed in sleep, his mouth slightly parted.
Or: Viktor falls asleep on Jayce’s shoulder. Jayce has feelings about this

“Jayce,” Viktor greets in surprise. He sets down the crystal and pushes his goggles up into his hair. “Did you forget something?”
Jayce’s gaze locks on him and he comes to an abrupt stop, lips stretching into a breathless smile. “Viktor… I— No. Not exactly…”
Viktor frowns, setting down his tools and pushing his chair back from the table. “Then why are you here? Today is Christmas Eve, no?”

Jayce gets out of a meeting, stressed and sick of politics, only to find Viktor passed out in their lab. He manages to convince his partner to leave and stay over his apartment, but with the man so close, Mr. Progress finds it hard to keep his distance and hide his feelings.

It was only right to offer Jayce one last thing: himself. A fleeting moment of shameless intimacy. There was no past, no future — only them, and everything they were willing to give. One final gift, for both of them.
