Hermione Granger is a good girl. No, really she is! Sure, she's been having more and more late night encounters with Draco Malfoy, and there have been a few kisses and touches, but it's not like they mean anything. Right?

"You know," Draco said, his voice tight. "Since you were so okay with me beating McLaggen, would you also be okay with me bloodying Krum?"
Hermione made a little tssk sound. "Don't be silly. Why would you try to hurt Viktor?"
"Because he's eye-fucking the hell out of you."
Hermione followed Draco's furious gaze and found Viktor staring at her in a way that indeed could be described as intense.
"He's just wondering what I'm doing here with you."
"He's just wondering what you look like naked."
"He doesn't have to wonder," Hermione mumbled under her breath.
"Excuse me," Draco hissed, the anger she hadn't heard for hours back in his voice. "You had sex with that guy?!"

Summary
28 years old, armed with a fool-proof plan and a pack of meddlesome best friends, Hermione Granger is back in London and ready to find the spark she never had with Ron. What's definitely not part of the plan is Draco Malfoy, more changed than she ever could have imagined, in the office next door.
Hermione noticed, absentmindedly, that there was only one other light on in the department, in the office just next door to her own. She turned towards it, wondering who her neighbour was and why they were working so late. The answer to that question came in two parts– through the cracked doorway, an instantly recognizable gleam of white-blond hair, and on the door, a nameplate she hadn’t read that morning: Draco Malfoy, Litigator for the DMLE.
Hermione’s head snapped back up as though she’d been shocked. The movement must have drawn his attention, as through the crack, the man’s head turned and his eyes met hers.
Hermione had time for one thought (fuck), before abruptly averting her eyes and walking, at perhaps an unnecessarily quick pace, down the hallway and to the elevator.
