X6 doesn’t know why synths were given the ability to dream. It just doesn’t make sense to him—what’s the purpose? Synths are machines, made as slaves, unfeeling. Dreams just promote desire, and the illusion of sentience to machines, with no actual mind.
But, despite the fact X6 loathed this deception of an actual soul, he dreamed anyway.

I haven't played Morrowind for years but some characters really stuck with me. I loved the quirky interpersonal dynamics within House Hlaalu. Crassius Curio and Dram Bero were unlikely friends. Meanwhile Dram Bero and Yngling Half-Troll were political enemies, neighbors and regularly pitted their game rats (and probably also their champions) against each other in the Vivec Arena. This is a short glimpse into how these things might play out.
