Summary
“sure,” she says, cutting kipperlilly off. it should bother her, she hates being ignored and walked over and pushed to the side, not when she works so hard to be where she is every day, but she isn’t mad. she isn’t upset at all.
“really?” kipperlilly asks, mouth agape, “just like that?”
“just like that.”
lucy smiles at her and holds out a hand. kipperlilly takes it.
_______________
kipperlilly looks down at her thumb and notices blood smeared on her skin. looking back at lucy, part of her wants to vomit.
another, smaller part of her thinks that some of the blood on lucy’s skin could be hers. her stomach turns in a way that’s different from the rage she feels almost constantly at this point.
AKA kipperlilly knows that lucy loved her, in the end. she just needs some of the devils honey to make sure

Summary
“the woodsman will come,” she says again. the wolf doesn’t reply, she knows it doesn’t need to. she knows there is nothing more for it to say.
she never says it for the wolf. it is never meant as a warning, not even a plea. it’s merely a delusion; a comfort for herself. she says it, again and again, because maybe once it will be true.
AKA just writing that one scene in her grandmother's house with the wolf bc i really liked it and she needed to be more insane

Summary
rosamund wakes up, and the world seems darker.
ylfa wakes up, and there is blood on her hands.
gerard wakes up, and he cannot breathe.
AKA just the horror of being forced into a world that is darker and worse than the one you're used to, and the bad feelings that come with it and also the bad feelings that come with having died

Summary
“where did emeryson go?” she said quietly, her eyes avoiding her mother’s. she heard the spoon her mother was stirring with still, and she hunched in on herself further.
“she was taken,” her mother said, and ylfa doesn’t understand. who took her? how was she taken? why did nobody find her, stop her from being taken in the first place?
“by who?” ylfa asks, because maybe if she knows who took her, she can try to get her back. because even if they weren’t friends, ylfa doesn’t like the feeling her absence leaves behind. the empty desk in the small classroom is obvious, and nobody dares to go near it. they haven’t taken her things out of it yet, and ylfa doesn’t know if it’s because they’re too scared to get close, or if they think she might come home one day.
ylfa hopes she’ll come home. even if they’re not close, she knows her family misses her.
AKA ylfa wasn't the first child to be taken by the wolf, and she wasn't the first child abandoned by their family.

Summary
everyone else is watching mother goose now, and rosamund wishes they wouldn’t. she wishes they would look at her, for just a moment. then maybe they would stop what happens next.
“she wants to talk to her, to make amends,” mother goose says, and rosamund knows what’s coming but she wishes she didn’t. she wishes she had never escaped the briars and had never left that cart. she wishes and wishes but it seems no one hears.
“what if, you pretended to be her.”
AKA I thought that a fun way to get the glass shard from the fairy godmother would be to have rosamund pretend to be cinderella bc theyre sisters, and all of the not good feelings that would come with it
