Summary

“Andrew,” her voice came out a rasped whisper. She paused, swallowed thickly, “Andrew, what do you expect to come of this?”
The question stung for a moment, the pain quickly melting into a burning ache for her. They didn’t have enough time and he needed her, needed whatever she was willing to give.
“I can’t say I know,” he responded lowly, unable to produce a more detailed answer that wouldn’t destroy this, destroy them.
She stared at him, a storm of emotions raging behind her eyes.
“Do you want me here?” He prodded, his voice little louder than an exhale of breath.
“I do,” she returned, an immediate response.

He"s a prince, she"s a strange woman who lives in the woods, and both are terrible at communicating - the usual. Expect it to get angsty and smutty and full of yearning because this is mostly a self-serving endeavor.
In the spirit of self-serving endeavors, updates are irregular and not consistently edited, so read at your own risk! There is a happy ending to come, but we"re going to meander a bit before getting there.
