Summary
Gyuvin is used to girls confessing to Ricky.
It isn’t hard to understand why they do it: as much as it pains him to admit it, he does have that cool guy vibe. Yes, a cool guy who is actually really sweet and caring and cute and... ahem... yeah. He has all that charm going on, so Gyuvin can see the appeal. He never cared too much about it though, since he knew that even if Ricky suddenly got a girlfriend, he wouldn’t get replaced by her. He is, after all, his best friend in the whole wide world, and some girl would never be able to change that.
However, all that goes down the drain when a guy decides to profess his undying love to Ricky and consequently ruin Gyuvin’s life.
A guy confesses to Ricky, and Gyuvin should really do some self-reflection.

“Just tell them I’m sick, we have a second vocalist anyway,” Hao muttered.

“Well, you’re coming and that’s what matters.” He kicks a pebble in his way, turning his head to look at Ricky. “Things turn out way better when we’re together, don’t they?”
There it is again. A sense of familiarity manifests itself by twisting his guts, and he starts walking way faster than before, even if his sandals have been bothering his feet for a while now. Something is so, so, so wrong.
After going through a very dramatic death, Ricky doesn't expect to get reincarnated in a romance novel. Nor does he expect to become the male lead's best friend, but he guesses the sooner the story ends, the sooner he'll live a life in peace, away from the drama.
(Also, he's supposed to die by the end of the novel. But surely he's got that under control.)
