Summary
Having earned her freedom, former imperial army medicus Aurelia Laskaris sets upon a journey to broaden her horizons and finds herself embroiled in intrigue and adventure. Summary
Cassius tol Flavus has played many roles in his life - a thief in the cold Garlemald streets, an escort for the often bored high society, Gaius van Baelsar's lover, a begrudging soldier, and a hostage to Valens van Varro. After the fall of the VIIth Legion, he throws all such roles aside, reaching a level of desperation befitting the apparent end of the world. Cassius is just a man who just wants to go home even if that home is ash and dust.
