Summary
a.k.a. the one in which Lestat's attempts to fix his and Armand's ongoing resentment, ends up fixing Armand and Marius' convoluted relationship, mending his relationship with both while he's at it.
chapter 17: As Lestat is taken from the revenant's presence, the vampire gather to discuss what are they meant to do with it... As well as what should they make of how the whole situation was handled by Armand, Santh and Gabrielle. And while Lestat is broken hearted, he can see Marius has a lot to say about it.
I'll be splitting chapters that are 10k words or more going forward for ease of reading, so chapter count will increase accordingly :)

A very cool read of a fic that actually puts the Rockstar Era upfront, but through a mortal perspective, exploring the horrors all of the involved humans were left with through dealing with a Vampire singer. Beautifully written that it feels like a study in the music industry.

The whole fic is incredible bringing forth some amazing sets where Vampire Chronicles characters are thrust into Horror movies! Three particular scenes had me thrilled at the edge of my seat: David's forlorn and melancholic scene reminiscing about a lost agent (Chapter 2)
Andrei being "possessed" as the reason his religious family finally agrees to turn him to the Monastery care (Chapter 4)
A fantastic piece on Daniel's mind frame during his early madness years as he slowly loses his grip on how to properly feed and hide bodies (Chapter 6)
And an incredible Interview with the Vampire piece to close it off - with a twist I cannot reveal.On the set is also pieces hauntingly horrific, in true to the Ricean spirit of horror - a piece showing Daniel's darkest side, and two OCs who blend into missing scenes really well!
A great collection of horror pieces, a strong recommend for Halloween! -

It's not always that people go into writing outsider POV, but here it's done perfectly: it highlights only the known character at the detriment - figuratively and in a literary way - of the narrator voice.
Also a fantastic scene which requires multiple readings to pick on the different voices used, with no more spoiling than this. The way food metaphors wrap around Armand's character and what we know of his story is also brilliant, with little details making references to aspects of his backstory and personality that may not be obvious in the first read.
All in all, an out-of-the-usual fanfic that is a must read for any Armand fan!

One of those fics that take the breath out of you, not just from the themes explored and the pairing preferences but for the way the writer manages to capture the poetic essence of the original canon and transpose it to a scene. Absolutely beautiful and hauntingly well-written.
Explores a bit of Armand's complex love for Lestat and how it often muddles up with his own flawed, unloving perception of self - perfectly contrasted with the almost idolized and divine image he made of Lestat, which Lestat himself was never willing to be or fulfil. An amazing piece for any Armand/Lestat shipper to read.
