Summary
“I’m not sure.” Langa’s voice sounds panicked, and it takes all of Reki not to shoot out of bed and start running to his house. “Are you hurt?” Reki’s tone hardens, missing the soft thuds from the edge of his bed. “No, I’m fine, it’s just that – “ Langa cuts himself off, and Reki can almost see him start chewing on his lip.
Reki waits for him to continue, letting him take his time. But that’s when he stares and notices the moving lump under his sheets. His eyes almost bulge out of its sockets once he realizes its not his own limbs.
“You see…”
Reki’s breath hitches as he tenses up completely, grabbing on to the edge of his blanket and counting to three in his head.
One.
Two.
Three.
“Reki, the Yeti on my board is gone.”

Because really, what are you supposed to do when the cartoon yeti on your board spawns itself into real life and snitches on you?

Summary
Zoro looked helplessly at Kuina who was watching them with an amused expression on her face. She shook her head, obviously deciding not to rescue him. Left without an ally, Zoro employed a time-tested technique he had learned out of necessity from growing up with four sisters, shutting himself down and just letting the world happen around him.
“No, you’re not doing that,” Nami said, slapping him lightly on the face, “No fugue state Zoro today. We’re going to write a love letter for you to deliver to him since you’re horrible with words. What are some things you like about Sanji?”
“I don’t like curly.”
“That’s so cute,” Hiyori sobbed, “You have a nickname for him already. Young love is so wonderful.”
“I’m 27,” Zoro moaned.
“About time you settle down,” Perona nodded.

“I didn’t make any plans though?”
“I know you didn’t. But I planned out the whole day! It’s a surprise!”
Langa was suddenly unbearably warm; Reki had planned out things for them to do together. Reki wanted to spend his birthday with him.
The thought was filling his head and making his heart race all over again, and it took all he had to just stare at Reki in awe instead of lunging up to kiss him.
(Not for the first time, he caught himself thinking just how lucky he was to have Reki in his life.)

Summary
Langa would be the first to admit that he wasn’t the most observant person.
Actually, no, that's not entirely true. He wasn’t the most observant person when it came to things he didn’t particularly care about - like math, or understanding emotions - but he was pretty observant to things, people, he cared about.
So it really didn’t come as too much of a surprise when he began to notice things about Reki.

Long distance relationships don't work. That's what everyone says. It's too much of a distance, too much of an effort. Sooner or later, you'll get bored, or your partner will be bored. If not, real life happens and you'll drift apart.
That's why both Langa and Reki don't say anything about their growing feelings for each other, when Langa moves back to Canada as a professional skater for eight months. Perhaps they can wait until they see each other again. For now, both boys simply look forward to the other's call or chat every single day, and the day after that.

Summary
Reki never thought there would be anything he enjoyed as much as skateboarding, but this whole experience is a close second and has brought upon two new realizations.
One – as much as he likes cooking and found fun in it, he loves making Langa smile way more.
Two – he really, really likes Langa.
