Summary
He wanted to stop doing this, he needed to stop doing this. He just worked himself up and he couldn’t escape it. It was driving him insane, he’d wake up in the night and not be able to stop his hand. His mind supplying him with Will and all these inane scenarios where they somehow ended up in his room, or in the basement, or the school bathroom, and everything started happening so fast.
He felt like shit afterward.
Am I allowed to cry?
OR

Max turns to him then, her grin quickly turning more sincere, and before Mike can go and grab Will, she adds, “Just remember that he’s drunk Mike, people say all kinds of shit when they’re drunk.”
Mike doesn’t really know If thats some kind of warning but he nods along anyway at her words. “Yeah. Okay.” He pauses and they just look at one another, and there’s a kindness in Max’s eyes that is only spared for Mike on very very rare occasions. “Good luck!” Mike eventually says, departing with a smile.

Summary
Will raises his eyebrows. “Is that why you came in here?” he repeats, looking back down at the blue flannel. “To ask me about the weather in Lenora?”
“Kind of,” Mike says, and then, “well no, not about the weather specifically. I just– I wanted to talk to you.”
“Oh.” And Will looks a lot more surprised at this, actually, than the idea that Mike might have just wanted to come to his room to make small talk about unseasonably frigid California winters. “Okay. What about?”
“Anything.” The response is embarrassingly immediate. “Everything. I don’t know. I missed you.”
Hawkins, 1986. The world is ending, there are too many people in Mike's house, and, to top it all off, he and Will have some things to talk through.
