Berri had big, brown eyes, which was probably what had made Otis agree to take her to the motel he was staying in. There were some moles on her neck so similar to those on Baron’s he wanted to taste them. Her lips were a similar bow, and her legs were almost divine. She was just similar enough in looks to have him staring at her just as much throughout the night.
When he let himself look back, there was a gleam in her eye that drew him close enough to see all the other reasons stare at her just as much, and to stay close. When they’d finally ended up against the alley wall, one of her hands on the back of his neck while the other untucked his shirt, he had moaned against her mouth a single “Marmalade” as she pressed herself against his thigh.

Otis hooks up with a random stranger that is similar enough to who he really wants to scratch an itch. -

Summary
In late January, 1984, Robin saw Steve Harrington stand stock still in the middle of the sidewalk, staring at a house with twinkling Christmas lights. She thought it was weird, but wasn’t going to comment and was about to walk around him when she realized his hands were shaking and repeatedly clenching and unclenching. And, because Robin could never leave well enough alone, she placed a hand on his shoulder.
Or, Robin and Steve meet post season 1 and begin their friendship early, despite Robin's confusion at how exactly it happened.

Summary
The kettle whistles, she shakes her head as she swirls hot water around the pot before dumping it in the sink. "They were going to grow old together." She says, dropping teabags into the pot and pouring water over them. She watches it steep briefly, before replacing the lid.
The statement sits heavy around both of them. Robin and Steve were going to grow old together. A fact. Now they can’t. Also a fact.
Now, Steve won’t ever grow old, and Robin might die young too, and Eddie stands uselessly in the kitchen in front of a woman grieving the love her daughter had and the boy who gave it to her. Mourning possibilities that will never happen, even if the rest of them stop the nearing end of the world.
Quietly, to the teapot, Mrs. Buckley says "I don't think she'll ever recover from this."
Neither does Eddie.Steve and Eddie swapped places, and with his previous wounds, Steve dies in the Upside Down. Eddie tries to help Robin in the aftermath, sees just how much Steve meant to the people around him, while they all still have to fight Vecna.

Summary
The one thing Eddie loved that was, for all intents and purposes, mainstream (eugh) was M*A*S*H. Of course it was. Hawkeye Pierce was a…formative experience for a young Eddie, and he wasn't ashamed of that.
The chaos Hawkeye formulated and controlled in his persona was a goal Eddie truly aspired to. His swagger and confidence and easy charm whilst also being a snarky asshole was everything Eddie wanted to embody.
So. It was…frustrating when Henderson swanned into hellfire complaining about Steve goddamn Harrington having a fucking wine night (wine!! Night!!) with his mother.
OR
Eddie loves M*A*S*H almost as much as Steve does, and fancies himself a bit of a Hawkeye Pierce character, only to find out he is...incorrect. About a lot of things.
OR OR
5 times Eddie was annoyed at Steve Harrington's apparent equal love of the war doctor show, and a few times he wasn't really annoyed at all.

Or, at least, you see somebody that looks rather fascinating, and want to talk to them, get to know them, laugh with them, boop their nose occasionally, and maybe, just maybe, fall for them. Only maybe though. Because people on the bus pass by either once or everyday, and either way, it's incredible your paths crossed.
Jade and Karkat become bus buddies through the power of hipster music, Jade's unrelenting enthusiasm to talk to the grumpy kid who sketches on the bus, and Karkat's general defensiveness about said sketches. And then they argue and fall in love or something.

None of them were supposed to interact at Shiz. They should've been separate, should never have even crossed paths, really, but they did and they can't change that and to be honest, they wouldn't do it even if they could. What they have is too good to be stopped by little things like society.
