Summary
Arthur strode into his chambers, the doors having been left wide open was a clear sign his good-for-nothing manservant was inside, most likely slacking off on his duties.
He glanced around for any signs of Merlin—or, by some small chance, a sign that some work had been done—when Arthur spotted him standing over by the sideboard where Arthur’s spare armour was kept.
Merlin was quite still and quite silent, something which Arthur rarely witnessed. It was a rather curious sight. But what was curiouser still was what Merlin had in his hand and appeared to be sniffing—a pair of Arthur’s leather gloves.
He was so engrossed with the activity, he had failed to notice he was no longer alone.

“Yeah.”
“How do we use them?”
“Not exactly sure, but well, want to find out?” Merlin asked, giving Arthur a kiss and taking them from him.
Arthur grinned into the kiss.
“I was hoping you’d say that. In fact, I think I might have a few ideas we could try…”
Merlin fingered the silicone beads, wondering what they would feel like as Arthur slowly fed them in, one by one. He assumed that’s what you were supposed to do.

He had some willpower, but he’d used most of it to keep himself from throwing Merlin down on his bed and having his wicked way with him.

It had been a long day and Merlin breathed a sigh of relief when he was finally able to close the door to the rest of the world and retreat to the sanctuary of Arthur’s chambers.
As he turned around he smiled, filled with contentment with the sight that met him.
Arthur chambers exactly as they normally were. A little disorganised, but relatively neat and cosy with the fire burning in the hearth, flooding the room with ambient light and warmth. He could breathe here.
And best of all, of course, was his gorgeous king, who sat at his desk, reading a book in one of those loose white shirts which drove Merlin wild.
