He wasn't supposed to remember his visit to the future: helping with a case, facing his older self, meeting the angel he'll love. When 19yr-old Dean starts to recall what happened, he's desperate to claim the freedom and sanctuary that knowing his future provides. Teen-Dean is back with new Case-Fic-With-Feelings. Summary
The first time she meets him, he's nothing more than an almost-missed appointment.
~~~
Dean is silent for a long, tense moment, then he gruffly says, "It's not for banishing the angels. It's to summon them. So, it doesn't—it's not to get rid of 'em, but to draw 'em in."
Mitzi can't help but glance up at him at that. His voice is so heavy with so much unexplained pain, and she doesn't understand why, or what angels have to do with it. She knows religion can impact people. She's very aware that it can get complicated, and that it can be a huge source of pain for someone, but Dean sounds grievously wronged, somehow, as if it's a truly personal thing.
She pushes through, focusing back on her job, clearing her throat before murmuring, "Well, I guess we all want angels to visit us sometimes."
"Just the one," Dean mumbles.
"Your guardian angel?" Mitzi asks.
Dean breathes out, "Something like that. As close to one as an angel will ever get."
Summary
On the day of his 29th birthday, Dean receives an email from his old nemesis: Michael Milton, the guy who got him kicked out of college and stole his girlfriend. The email contains encoded images with top secret CIA/NSA intelligence – and now their only copy is in Dean’s brain. Both agencies send their best operatives – Castiel Novak and Victor Henriksen respectively – to handle their accidental asset and protect the invaluable data in his head. To justify their sudden appearance in Dean’s life, they adopt covers: Victor as Dean’s new co-worker and neighbor, Cas as his new boyfriend. Needless to say, Dean’s brother and his girlfriend are thrilled to see him in a relationship they believe to be real. Clearly, there’s no way this could go wrong.
Summary
Only a very few people in the world know that the celebrated and reclusive poet Jack Allen is just Kansas mechanic Dean Winchester, a high school dropout with a few bucks to his name. Not that it matters anymore; life has left him so wrung out he never wants to pick up another pen.
Until, that is, a string of coincidences leads Dean to auditing a poetry course with one Dr. Castiel Novak. The professor is wildly intelligent, devastatingly handsome...and just so happens to be academia's foremost expert on the poetry of Jack Allen.
Summary
“But the sneaking around and the fact my brother has the emotional maturity of a fruit loop has got me thinking that Dean’s doing his usual pretending he has no feelings thing. And Cas…who knows.”
“Men,” Donna grumbles. “Guess it’s worse when there are two of ’em.”
“Hey, I take offence to that,” Sam chuckles. “I’m a man.”
“That why you’re not just talking to Dean about this?”
“Fair point.”
“So you really wanna put the screws to him?” Donna asks, mischief in her eyes. “Isn’t that a bit mean?”
“Listen, Dean’s my brother and I love him. But he’s also my big brother and I have a duty to exploit every opportunity I have to fuck with him.”
“Well, I can’t argue with that,” Donna shrugs. “You really think Dean’ll fall for it? Me putting the moves on him?”
“Well, it’ll make him squirm, that’s for sure.” Sam glances from the road to Donna. “You got a better idea?”
“Oh, you betcha.”
