What is one to do when a war ends?
They go home. So hero crowned as he is, he goes home -- to lick his wounds and his heavy heart.
To drown in the many what ifs and things he left unspoken when faced with the need to be a soldier. That is not who he is, that is not who he has ever been. He is a man most comfortable around flowers and the strong scent of embalming fluid and old blood.

I think this is kind of how the romance with Lucanis should have went. It loosely follows the main story, but I finished the game in a blur so some events might not perfectly line up.
