Bruce couldn't help but chuckle at that, subtly rubbing his knee against Steve's and delighted when Steve didn't withdraw.

“Oh, I've missed you,” he freely confessed, leaning back into Steve's body as firmly as Steve was leaning into him, removing one hand from the dresser to reach up behind his head and dig his fingers into Steve's loose curls. They were words Steve almost never said—he just wasn't sentimental like that—but the feeling was reciprocated if the line of messy kisses up the side of Bruce's neck were anything to go by.

Her stomach flutters as she pulls out the cool glass bottle, knowing exactly what it holds: Lipton’s, unsweetened, with lemon, the way he likes it.
“Must be fate, Mulder.”
It’s meant to be a joke, but it doesn’t sound like one. She presses the bottle into his hand then looks straight ahead, betrayed by the flush she can feel crawling over her face.
