Summary
Years ago, Europe for Japan sounded like a fair trade to Suzaku. Britannia could not be defeated from the outside, after all. Futile resistance would only cause more pointless bloodshed and suffering. If Suzaku could end it early, mercifully, he could save more lives. Then he would be able to change the world from within and save Japan.
He has been naive up until now.
