Summary
“It’s raining, Tech,” Tommy says again because he doesn’t get it and Tommy can’t understand what there is to get. “I like the rain.” Techno listens and Tommy stumbles closer, letting his brother catch him by his forearms. “I forgot I could feel like this,” he says, half laughing and half crying. “I forgot I liked the rain. I forgot I liked the rain, Technoblade. How could I forget this?”
Crimson eyes flick over Tommy’s face, searching for something, and Tommy can’t tell if he found it or didn’t with the way his grip just ever so slightly tightens. He tugs gently, frowning again, and glancing around the ruins-turned-garden he found Tommy in. “Alright, you’re gonna make yourself sick, come on, I’ll get you wherever you were going.”

Summary
Tommy isn't stupid, despite how it looks sometimes. He can tell when he isn't wanted, and a sword to the back is a fairly clear tell of that.
Skip ahead a few years, he's the reigning champion and basically co-runner of a fighting arena nestled snuggly inside of an anarchy server. Going by the title "Phoenix the Head Hunter", he's got some fire-red wings and an entire 'shelf' of heads in his collection from his matches in the Arena.
Coming up on the two year anniversary of him claiming his title, a new fighter appears; no name registered to them and their features covered. This fighter quickly gains everyone's attention, easilly beating one of the Arena veterans his first night fighting. Tommy in specific noticing how similar their style is to someone he used to know.
The Phoenix is always up for new heads on his shelf, but this one might come with more than it first appears.

Softening, Wilbur slowly—as if trying out the words—says, “And then the baker’s car gets water damaged, so she can’t open the bakery tomorrow, and we can’t get the breakfast we wanted.”
Tommy stares at him quietly. This man. This man is his best friend. “And then a businessman sends his assistant to get him a donut but they can’t because the bakery is closed. And they get fired.”
Understanding—so very understanding, and loving, and caring, and fond—Wilbur ends, “All because your wish came true.”
