As she clashes frequently with the bullheaded Alpha in charge, the battles provide her an outlet as she refuses to let anyone see her inner struggle with grief.

She needed something to attack, to chew on, something, anything to focus on other than the damned empty house. Her heels clicked along the tiled floors, looking around the nearly empty shul. In the front lobby, not far from the synagogue donor tree - where every notable gift was symbolized by a new gold-toned leaf and seemed requisite to every synagogue Leia had ever been to - was a collection of three men. One Alpha, one Omega, one Beta, and Joanie was scurrying towards Leia quickly.
