Summary
Odysseus, consumed by a deep grudge against Palamedes, plots his revenge. Years earlier, Palamedes had exposed Odysseus's feigned madness to avoid joining the Trojan War by endangering his infant son, Telemachus, an act Odysseus has never forgiven. As the war drags on, Odysseus watches Palamedes boast and mock him, waiting for the right moment to strike.

The same daughter who had been prophesized to be his downfall, to dethrone him like he had done his own father and his father had done his grandfather, the same daughter whose mother he ate when he had found that she was carrying a child because she would have been a threat, the same daughter who would have been his greatest foil had she been born a son.
Athena realized how this must have appeared to the God-king.
