Summary
Up close, he could see the shadows beneath her eyes; the brittle weariness in the line of her. Not a Cerberus monster. Human. Strong, fierce, beautiful. It all rested on her, and he could see how it was breaking her, each day grinding her down until there was nothing left but grit and bone. FemShep/Garrus, former FemShep/Kaidan.

Summary
Kaidan runs through what could have been. Something smutty and fun and not depressing will soon follow. He got that chill he hadn’t felt in years, sharp between his hips, deep in the base of his spine—but when he turned around, Shepard wasn’t standing behind him. All the VIs were in another part of the Commons and most of them were in the docking bay.

Summary
“Ow, Liara, watch it.”
“Sorry, Shepard.”
Kaidan watches, concern mounting as they stumble out of the elevator, Garrus following in their wake. Neither he nor Liara look particularly worse for wear, but Shepard’s armor is covered in dust and scratches all over. He can’t see any blood which is something, at least.
