Summary
Shiro’s had a crush on the piano player for the gay bar he co-owns with his best friend ever since he hired him. Apparently, he’s not the only one - he’s pretty sure Keith’s arrival has doubled the popularity of the bar, and Keith doesn’t even have a clue.
Every night, Shiro watches lines of men come up to the piano to flirt with Keith, and it only barely soothes his longing heart that Keith always turns them down.
Or, Shiro and Keith are both oblivious, but they manage to figure it out anyway.

"This, uh.” Keith clears his throat, trying to distract himself and get some kind of a handle on the situation. “This is kind of a weird first meeting, isn’t it?”
A laugh bursts out of Shiro’s chest behind him, and the puff of breath is close enough to tickle the back of his neck. He just barely manages to hold down the shiver this time.
This is going to be a problem.
“Well, might as well get familiar, since we’re going to be partners for two weeks and all, right?”
Oh my god. Partners? Did he have to use that particular word and make Keith blush even deeper?

Keith gets a career-defining opportunity to spend two weeks among the coastal redwoods, studying the tallest tree in the world. When he meets the other researcher he’ll be working with, things get interesting fast.
