They always come and get him, no matter how tired he is, no matter how long it takes to rouse him. He understands, and never begrudges them for it. The Plants are important, and Vash is an important part of fixing them.
But sometimes, treacherously, he wishes they would try to handle the problem on their own, that they would let him sleep.
Healing a Plant, for Vash, means taking its pain away. But that pain has to go somewhere, and he is the only Plant who is able to take it.

Till was always prickly whenever the news about the 'evolutionary progress' award given to his previous owner aired. Ivan was among the few that knew Till was one of these experimentally 'evolved' humans, but he didn't see any differences between Till and any other human. When Till suddenly starts getting more forward with Ivan after he returns from exploring outside their camp, Ivan notices that things start seeming wrong.
