The door to the tiny workroom opens on its own. The light from the office beyond spills into the dark room.
Ranboo freezes and stares at the open doorway. He takes a deep breath, his mind racing. "Hello…?"
Something is very clearly wrong.

Ranboo shifted his gaze back up to the void-like surface. What was on the other side?
Maybe he would return to the darkness that swallowed him before meeting the Celestials and the water he drowned in. He enjoyed the little giggles and laughs and chatter he heard from the Stars, but it was so much louder than… whatever void he drifted in before. That void was empty. That void was nothingness.
The surface looked a lot like that void.
He didn’t mind falling in.

Summary
“What-” Tubbo cuts himself off, staring at the body, hands trembling as he holds both flashlights.
Tubbo hears a noise down the hall. It sounds human, and very much in pain.
“Someone’s here,” Tubbo says, quickly pacing past Tommy. “C’mon, Tommy, someone needs help!”
“Wait, Tubbo-“ Tommy scrambles to follow.
They make their way down the hallway. Tubbo flinches at nearly every pained choke and scream that he hears. It sounds muffled.
They find the room where the noises are coming from, and are almost too scared to open the door, squeezing each other’s hands to comfort each other. Tommy musters the courage to turn the knob and push the door open, red light bleeding into the hallway.

Summary
He knew that because of enderman genes he wasn't considered normal. That just sight of his face was considered terrifying. He could unhinge his jaw farther than anyone else, the lines of his mouth similar to that of a squiggle, and the back of his throat glowing purple and spitting particles. So he wore the mask. No matter how uncomfortable it was.
After all, he’s a freak. It was better that way. If only to avoid the fighting.
In which Ranboo learns that a home isn't just a roof over your head; it's a place where you can be yourself.
