Sirius's eyes become distant whenever he is reminded of that fact, so today they're pressed as close as they can in Remus's bed, warm under the old quilt and a little drunk on Remus’s last bottle of cheap wine.

The thing is, Remus is acting almost normal. They talk, and they go to classes together, and he laughs at Sirius's jokes. But there's something missing when it's just the two of them. Gone are the secret smiles Remus seemed to have just for him, and he now flinches when their legs and feet touch under tables, or when Sirius's hand brushes his. They have spent the last couple of Ancient Runes lessons not passing each other notes with dirty jokes in futhorc.

Bucky had to double check it was an ass, because he didn't think anyone would… but there it was, in all its glory, a nice round ass below a bony waist, and painted as a Jack O'Lantern. With glitter.
