Summary
Cynthia has left John and divorce proceedings are underway. John has taken to hanging out at the local library (rather than going home to an empty house) where he meets librarian Keith Richards. They become friendly. John would like to be more than friends but he doesn't want to mess up Yet Another Relationship. He talks to his best friend Paul McCartney who, in this fic, has a very pregnant wife (Jane Asher McCartney) at home, so efficiency is key.
Paul decides he needs to get a look at this librarian even though, as John points out, Paul is not exactly the most subtle person on the planet.
John and Paul are not in any kind of romantic situation in this fic and they would prefer it if we could just all pretend that one night in Hamburg never happened and move on because they both have, thank you very much.
